Introduction:

We are thrilled to partner with you to identify proper candidates to ensure your recruiting goals are met. Whether you are hiring for an internship or considering employing one of our new graduates and whether you are looking for full-time, or part-time, we will help you to select the best candidates. Master of Financial Accountability program is a pioneer program in York University in business field specializing in corporate governance, risk management, compliance, and sustainability. The MIAB Advisory Board is a platform for you to hold workshops, panel discussions and networking events with students to identify potential candidates from the MFAc program. Based on the needs of your industry please feel free to contact MIAB Advisory Board to coordinate your recruitment activities. 

Hiring process:

Hiring an MFAc student is not a hard job if you follow these steps:

  • Provide a clear job description.
  • Send an email notification to miabempl@yorku.ca to inform the internship opportunity.
  • Hold an on-campus or off-campus interview for the candidates.
  • Coordinate the interview at least one week prior.
  • Give reasonable notice (a minimum of 3 days is recommended) of any interview cancellations.
  • Respond to all candidates whether they passed the interview or not.
  • Provide the offer letter including the name of the company, location, job title, assigned department, requested start day, name of the reporting manager or supervisor, salary, and any other important expectations and benefits.

Internship policies:

Internship is focused on recruiting returning MFAc students for short-term employment. Internship also offers you an excellent opportunity to assess potential candidates for New Grad employment following their graduation. You are able to organize information sessions, job postings, and on-campus first-round interviews when coordinating your Internship needs.
