Below are two different agreement templates for paid and unpaid placements, as such the paper work will be different. The chart below has been created to help.

Insurance Coverage The Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) provides Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) coverage for Ontario Post-secondary students who are completing an unpaid placement. Students are insured by the employer as they are paid, full-time/part-time, employees.

 
Paperwork Required From: Learning Site (Community Partner)
  1. Course Based Placement Agreement singed by signing authority at business/organization.
  2. Will also be signed by the Dean of LA&PS.

Please note that placement agreements will be sent to partners by the EE Office. Placement agreements must be signed prior to students starting placement.

  1. Students will be notified to log into Orbis to read and accept terms and conditions + submit their health & safety checklist.

Must be completed on/by the first day of placement.
