About Us

The Master of Financial Accountability Internship Advisory Board (MIAB) is a not-for-profit organization that was created in August 2019 to facilitate MFAc Students' success by providing more employment opportunities (co-op, internships, and graduate jobs) and career skills development opportunities. The organization is run completely on a voluntary basis with the assistance of professors, studentsMFAc alumni, employers, and the York University administration.

MIAB consists of  several working groups. It also provides support for the MFAc Student Society and the MFAc Alumni Board to ensure their smooth running and operation. Together with our other stakeholders, we organize a variety of orientations, skills development, panel discussions, and recruitment events for our MFAc  students. All these events are carefully crafted to bridge the gap between our learning courses and the job market. This will also allow students to expand their network, develop and enhance their professional skills and knowledge, and increase their likelihood of employment (full-time, part-time, regularco-ops) either during the program or following graduation.
